Mould-Dowels "Helix"
In some particular cases it will be essential for the mould construction, to be able to separate the mould flanges by a a horizontal, sliding movement rather than the normal vertical lifting separation. in order to still have a viable positioning and centering system integrated in the mould flanges, we have developed retractable mould dowels.
The Helix assembly for retractable mould dowels is available for Aluminium moulds, to be welded on the moulds flanges. The brass wearing will enable numerous repetitions of the moving dowel element.
Twisting the handle in the hardened steel helix chute the by 90° will retract the Male Dowel out of the female dowel in order to allow for an easy flange separation. The Helix chute features two defined positions - open or closed. The spring loading of the assembly assures an easy and quick handling.
