Adhesive Aluminium tape
Aluminum adhesive tape50mm wide / 50m long / temperature resistantExcellent for interlocking self-adhesive insulating mats or for fixing detached corners back to the tool.
Insulation mats
Simple and user-friendly system for shielding / insulating areas on rotational moulds where the wall thickness of the moulded plastic product should be reduced (or the wall thickness in the non-insulated areas should be increased).
[can also be used for insulating machine arms, drop boxes, etc.]
The insulating mat is a glass fibre mat, covered on one side with a perforated aluminium foil (thickness approx. 0.09mm, hole diameter approx. 1.5mm, hole proportion approx. 7%). For a simple and quick attachment to the rotational mould, the mat is provided with a self-adhesive foil (on acrylate basis).

Processing: Roughly cut the mat to size. Clean the mould surface from dust, grease, oil and water. Ensure a good, full-surface adhesion. Remove the protective film from the adhesive and attach the mat to the mould. The adhesive strength with cold bonding depends decisively on the contact pressure. The parts must therefore be pressed firmly onto the entire surface, using a suitable pressure roller, for example. Working temperature: 18-25 °C.
Abutting edges of matts can be sealed with a special aluminium shielding tape.
If water cooling is used in the moulding process, an additional fixation/securing of the applied mats, for example with wire or sheet metal, is absolutely necessary.
